After Liesl’s family home burned down in the 2018 Camp Fire, Liesl and her father diligently worked together to clear the land and redesign the new house to be as similar to their old family home as possible. With the loving help of family contractors, we were able to bring this home back to life and be a small part of the rebuilding and on-going legacy of Paradise California.
The Torii House is a 1200 square foot mid-century post and beam styled condo with sweeping views of Paradise Bay in the quaint town of Port Ludlow Washington. We designed this space to emphasize both Japandi and Wabi Sabi design principles to accentuate the simple and serene nature of this home while taking as little as possible away from the amazing views. We thoughtfully curated with comfort and minimalism in mind while also throwing in essential Pacific Northwest nature elements, from the light fixtures to the art.
Topper house is a 1000 square foot beach front property just 20 minutes south of Seattle Washington. We designed this space to emphasize traditional Colonial Spanish design principles and pay homage to one of our favorite U.S. cities, Santa Fe New Mexico. We emphasize this style through traditional carved wood embellishments, tilework and antique art collected through Southwest travels.
